Lord Aled says…

It’s the first UGM of the year, and that means the start of the LSE political season. All the pent-up frustration of the hacks over the summer holidays means that we’ll get to witness some more aerial paper bombing (assuming they don’t get kicked out and banned by security, that is). Seriously though, it is worth coming today as there are some more interesting motions coming up such as the Save the LSE Nursery motion (commendable), the “Sheikhgate” problem (storm in a bloody teacup tbh) and the proposed bail-out for the Business Society (WTF?). Then of course there’ll be the Smokey vs C&S problem we reported earlier. We, of course, shall be attending – look out for the three mysterious people toting bulky laptops to the Old Theatre just before 1pm.
